Family Favourites

With a busy family ourselves, we know how important it is to have easy but tasty recipes on hand during the week.

This is one of our family favourites, Piri Piri Beef Mini Roast.

Serves 2 to 3 people

Prep time of 10 minutes

Cooking time of 50 minutes



  • 1 x 400-450g/14oz-1lb of lean beef mini roasting joint
  • Salt & freshly milled black pepper


For the Piri-Piri Glaze:

  • 30ml/2tbsp runny honey
  • 15ml/1tbsp red wine or sherry vinegar
  • 15ml/1tbsp rapeseed or olive oil
  • 15ml/1tbsp chilli sauce
  • 10ml/2tbsp dried mixed herbs
  • 5ml/1tbsp ground paprika



  1. Preheat the oven 375°F, 190°C, Gas mark 5
  2. Prepare the glaze in a small bowl, mix all ingredients together
  3. Place joint on chopping board, make several slashes over the surface of the joint, season & brush with the glaze
  4. Transfer to a roasting rack in a medium non-stick roasting tin & roast for 40-50minutes (for medium). Cover with foil if browning too quickly
  5. Remove joint from the oven, transfer to warm plate, cover & leave to rest for 5-10 minutes, 20 minutes if time allows
  6. Slice the roast and serve with any pan juices, vegetable rice and a green salad
