Over the last 40 years Brendan Anderton Butchers have specialised in producing premium sausages. We supply a wide range of customers which include; schools, nursing homes, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, food service distributors and independent retail butchers.

Ever since we started making sausages in our Ribble Valley cutting plant, our passion has been to make the most delicious sausages in the country.

The key is to keep it simple:

We only ever use fresh British pork from high welfare farms.

The Landrace pig being predominately used as it is a true, “Butchers Pig.” Broad across the shoulder, long in the loin and thick in the rump.

Each day fresh meat arrives at our Ribble Valley based cutting plant for immediate processing. We use really good quality pork. (Never frozen!)  With just the right amount of fat to give it that succulent flavour and texture which reflects a true British sausage. This does cost a little bit more, but, as they say... 'You get what you pay for'.

We start with high quality pork. Then use only the finest herbs and spices.  We then use our process that has been handed down from generation to generation to produce our sausage. Consistency throughout, is the key to produce the finest, traditional, mouth watering, plump sausages.

We pride ourselves in being traditional butchers. We still make our sausages in fresh natural casings ensuring tenderness. All our sausages are hand linked, hung and rested the traditional way before packaging.

We produce our sausages on a daily bases. We also supply a wide range of high quality fresh beef, lamb, pork, poultry and many other specialist meats at competitive prices; regionally sourced, from the Lake District, Trough of Bowland, and Yorkshire Dales.

Thai - An authentic Thai flavour profile with key notes of lemongrass, coriander, ginger, coconut and chilli.

Hot Spanish Style - There’s plenty of zing with the chilli, pepper, cayenne and smokey notes in this recipe.

Sun Dried Tomato & Basil - A succulent sausage with a blend of sun dried tomato and basil giving you a true feeling of the Mediterranean.

Mexican Chilli - A traditional Mexican profile with typical flavours of chilli, tomato, garlic together with visual red and green peppers.

Celebration - A traditional flavour profile with key spices of pepper, mace, nutmeg and ginger.

French Country Herb & Garlic – The taste of Provencale with Mediterranean herbs and a hint of garlic.

Pork & Chestnut – contains real kibbled chestnuts for a real seasonal favourite that is popular throughout the year.

Steak & Guinness – beef sausage with pimento and paprika with smooth Guinness notes.

Plum & Mulled Wine – combines succulent pork with red plums, raisins and red wine.

Cranberry & Port – A classy sausage with real American cranberries, spicy seasoning and port.
